Sports
While growing up, I was always moving when I was younger. The one aspect of my life that always stayed the same was the sports I watched and played. I grew up going to New Jersey Devils games and fell in love with hockey before the age of 10. I played hockey my whole life, and to this day, I still play in a men’s league with a few of my friends. Sports have always been a place for me to escape from the real world. Growing up, I moved a lot, so I have a wide range of favorite sports teams. To start Hockey, my favorite team to watch is the New Jersey Devils. My second favorite sport is Basketball. The Los Angles Lakers have always been my favorite basketball team and sports player; the late Kobe Byrant showed me that you would strive to be the best version of yourself every day if you continue to put in the work. Finally, Football and Baseball are both New York teams with the Yankees and the Jets.
Video Games
Many people in today’s world hear video games and automatically think of little kids playing Guitar Hero, but that’s not the case now. Video game platforms have gone through the roof, especially since the pandemic has started. As stated in my experience section, I have built my gaming computer to record my gameplay and live stream it onto Twitch or Youtube live. Gaming has become the new norm, and we can even see some Colleges like Kentucky that have their gaming major and even offer scholarships to play for them. As recently, we can see a streamer like Ninja who broadcast their games onto twitch have a massive follower count and have an income that makes more than most doctors in a year. Being able to relax and play video games with my friends is something I can see myself doing for years on years because in the end, do what makes you happy and not what other people think.
Traveling
Traveling around the world has always been one of my biggest dreams, and I have already started visiting some of the places on my bucket list but not all. Due to COVID-19, the past year has been pretty crazy, and traveling has been shut down to help stop the spread but it has also shut down my traveling. In the good news, I have added more places to go when this pandemic is over. I will share the places I have gone to and the places I can’t wait to get to!
